BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:35 A.M.) – The Foreign Secretary for the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, told the British House of Commons on Tuesday that he wants to preserve Syria’s state institutions by “decapitating the monster,” referring to the Syrian President, Bashar Al-Assad.
“The essential thing will be to have a political process that preserves the institutions of the Syrian state while decapitating the monster”, the British Foreign Secretary told the House of Commons.
Johnson, who is known for his bizarre comments, has attacked Assad on a number of occasions this year, including when the Syrian President was accused of giving the green light to his military to use chemical weapons in Khan Sheikhoun.
The Foreign Secretary also encouraged U.S. President, Donald Trump, to carry out more missile strikes against the Syrian Government.
